Blendimation 2.0

Share, learn, train... Showcase... All in 1... this is Blendimation 2.0

I've stopped using Blender3D (infact I stopped several months ago) I now use Maya 8.5 :D! It's REALLY good! The interface is fairly simple (way easier than Blender's) and I love messing around with the fur/grass etc.

I'm still pretty new to it (I can use the modelling tools fairly well, extrude, merge, cut etc.) but I haven't yet learned about materials or rigging/animation.

:) Maya is fuuuuuuunnnnn!

Also this part should probably go on GameFabric but I thought I might as well post it here. I've been making a Zombie FPS that's been on hold for a few weeks (or maybe a few months...?) now. Well I'm going to try and get it going again during the next two weeks (I have school holidays) :)

K... so yeah.

you should take a look at blender 2.5 :)
Graphicall has builds for windows, linux and mac, and I must say, so far, I'm impressed. Of course it's not nearly complete (a few things are missing as of now), but it certainly is impressive. Maybe it will give maya and 3DSMax (my first professional app) a run for their money :)

Maya is still the industry standard for film VFX but the game industry is a little mixed.
Blender is still unbelievable powerful and capable and amazingly free!

I have to admit that my ambitions lie in the film industry so when I have time to advance my 3D animation skills, rarely, it's with Maya. I feel bad about that though because Blender played such an important role in getting my feet wet.

Well... when you had 6 weeks off we had 2 (the first 2) so we were at school for a month while you were on holidays. :)

Also what will Blender 2.50 have that will make me want to switch?

Wow; school holidays again?! That would be sweet down here!

You completely ditched blender? Hehe, I think you should still give it a chance (P.S. I guess when 2.50 comes out, many Maya users will switch back) :-)
