The Basics, The Advanced Concepts and Everything In Between. Questions.

Okay! I have some serious questions which Roland has been helping me out with but I would like to ask others as well so its not so much wait on one shoulder.
1) Does anyone know what the words Avail and Needed and Layer mean exactly in terms of animation when you press i to keyframe a part in the animation.

2) How do you make a color on your object (an airplane main console window in this case) transparent?
3) How do you sculpt?

4) Sometimes when I select an object the cursor that allows you to move it is way over to the side making it harder, how do I reposition the active point?

5) This one is kindove a big one, how do you make your pictures look photorealistic? In my newest ship it looks okay but..... no where near as real as.... this one for instance - http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=87334&highligh...
Its the ship that has a silver body and a blue window - 2nd post from the top)

6) haha, I just want my ships to look as real as that one, does anyone have any suggestions for how to decide what your going to design before you design it. The above ship looks futuristic, but more importantly it looks like it can fly, I want to know how you would design that on paper because I'm not very good at drawing so It woud be very difficult to think of something like that for me but thats exactly the type of thing i would like to "blend" in the future.

For any assistance you are willing to give me I would like to give a very big THANKS. I know that there are a lot of questions and some of them are big ones but I'm having trouble finding some of them on the tutorials, especially the specifics. Thanks In Advance!!!!!!!

Sweet thanks everybody! By the way when your rendering an animation do you seriously have to render EVERY SINGLE FRAME!!! I could NEVER get thru a ======20 frame animation ======= unless I could leave it on the WHOLE DAY!!!!!!! lol. And then how do you animate a mesh, I just watched a 50 minute video and he said he would cover meshes in a different video but he NEVER DID. So I'm stuck...

I'll show you how, it's easy.

As for rendering every frame, I think we need to go through some techniques for quickie renders, like the two videos I uploaded recently...

For rendering animations I either do it when I know I'm not going to be using the computer/When I go to bed. I wake up the next mornin' with a nicely rendered vid :D

Also I haven't been able to work on the Tutorial for a couple of days (today being the second) because of a damn Migrane that won't go away >< It's not bad now but it can come back any second :(

I'm sorry about your migrane Microwave :(. As long as your sick don't even think about doing any tutorials, just relax as much as possible, migranes suck... Anyways my problem isn't just the time limit, Its the virtual memory and the proccesor, believe me when I say that I am most certianly on the bottom of the totem pole in terms of computers in America :(. I really need a new one bad, my computers processor is x86 Family 6 Model 7 STEPPING 2... and its AT/AT compatible so oh joy, lol. It doesn't even have the capabilities to support Windows XP and I can't download Python because my PROSSER ISN'T CAPABLE. SO, I don't think it would work but.... I guess I'll try it. The next step is learning how to do quickie renders I guess so..... I'll talk to Roland about that, and by the way Roland my dad tried to download it last night and it made the computer go all screwy and it did not allow my dad to download it :(.... lol, sorry but I really need a new computer BAD!
